Censys ASM review: internet-scan attack surface management, scored
Quick answer
Censys ASM ranks tenth of ten at 5.85 out of 10. Its internet scan data and integration list are strong, but discovery starts from seeds you supply and findings arrive without exploit proof or mitigation. It suits threat hunting teams more than teams that need exposures closed.

What does Censys ASM do?
Censys runs first-party internet scanning across all 65K ports, which it says finds services on nonstandard ports, hosts with self-signed certificates and hosts in residential networks. Its ASM product continuously measures a customer's external attack surface from the outside and flags changes such as new hosts, ports, certificates and services.
Discovery starts from seeds: known public-facing assets the customer adds through the console or API. Censys then identifies connected assets, shown under a 'Found by Censys' tab. Risk detection uses EPSS, KEV and other scoring, with rapid response alerts for critical exposures or active exploitation, and Censys says teams can confirm reachability in seconds.
Integrations are the longest named list in the set: Jira, ServiceNow ITSM and CMDB, Tenable VM, Google Security Operations, Microsoft Sentinel, Axonius, Brinqa, Slack and Cisco Webex, plus AWS, Google Cloud and Azure.

Censys proof: reachability confirmation and EPSS/KEV scoring, not exploitation.
